Fermented foods are so easy and inexpensive to make, really adding to your overall health by diversifying the number and strains of probiotics you have in your digestive system. 🙂

Good Morning Jo-Anne. Funny I should find this post!  I’m currently looking at starting this process. I have 2 questions:

1 - starter liquid:  where do you get this. First time I heard of this

2- SCOBY:  where can you get this if you don’t know anyone currently making Kombucha

Would greatly appreciate your feedback.

BTW I’m also a Jo-Anne spelled the same way

Have a wonderful day!

@jo-annerousseau

Surprisingly, you can often buy it at health foodstores, online health sites, or from Kijiji sellers who have extra 😀

The SCOBY can be bought from the same locations. The SCOBY and liquid often come together, as you only need about 3/4 cup of the liquid to seed your process the first time.

If starting out, i recomend buying a large glass jar and bale top home brew beer bottles for your second ferment.

healthy and refeshing

@jo-annekoiter thanks!  Would large mason jars work?
